How to install jenkins slave

Create a slave is simple but instructions in wiki are not so full.

  • Create new node under Jenkins->Manage->Nodes. 
  • Open browser on slave machine
  • Go to URL: http://{jenkins computer}/{node name}/slave-agent.jnlp
  • A file is download, let it be executed
  • Wait till a new window is opened with message "connected" (see below)
  • Use the File menu in the window to install it as a service .
